The Janata Shikshan Mandal (herein after, referred to as Mandal) of Alibag established in 1960 started, its First Institution namely, the JSM Arts, Science, and Commerce college, Alibag in June 1961 . The Mandal, thereafter, strived to strengthen the Institution in imparting knowledge in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce by appropriate placement of faculty members in various streams. The dream of the Mandal after four decades came true, when it started Law faculty in the Raigad District from the year 2000-2001.
As of today 26 well furnished classrooms, five equipped laboratory and two ICT enabled seminar halls and a superior library are providing services to 13 undergraduate and three post graduate courses where around 2250 students learners are enrolled every year.
