Introduction
The Department of English started in 1961 with the inception of the college. Since then, the department has been offering six units Special English Course with the following objectives:
• To create the interest of English literature among the students.
• To enable the students to use English as a powerful means of communication.
• To inculcate the research culture among the students in the field of English language and literatures in English.
• To instill self-confidence among the rural students to face the challenges of globalized scenario.
